Play Disc Golf to have fun and enjoy the company of people that do the same. This golf tour is an open event to everyone no matter your skill level. These events will invite new players as well as challenge the existing Scottish player base to crown a Champion. Please feel free to contact us anytime regarding our sport, the courses or our tour.

Tour Guidelines

Joining the Tour

Pay £5 to the TD at your first Tour event or transfer the money on this website, instructions are at the bottom of the registration form. This entry fee is for the tour only, there will also be a tournament entry fee set by the Tournament Director for each competition.  The Tour Champion will be the player who earns the most points throughout the Tour in the Open Division only. All other division winners will receive trophies and/or Prizes for their efforts.
We would also like to issue a Spirit of the Game prize to the individual that exemplifies disc golf throughout the Tour. The winner of the Spirit award will be issued by popular vote before the last event of the Tour. The Quaich and division winners will receive their trophies/prizes following the last tour event.
We will also make a statement available at the end of the year declaring entry amounts and money spent on trophies and prizes.


To participate in the Tour of Scotland simply follow the guidelines listed below.
1. Pay £5 to the TD at your first Tour event or transfer the money on this website
2. Choose a division to participate in based on the descriptions below. You can decide to switch divisions but you cannot take any earned points to the new division, even if that division is newly created through participation.
3. Sign up on our website or with the corresponding TD's.
4. You may join the Tour at any point in the year but you have to sign up BEFORE the event in order to earn points.
5. Have Fun, enjoy disc golf, support our sponsors.

Earning Points:
Points are based on division participation also the player that participates in the most events will have the best opportunity to place well in the Tour Standings of their division.
You will receive 10 points for every player that posts a higher score in your division, with the highest score in that division receiving 10 points. Plus one point for winning your division. The more players in a division the more points will be awarded. Anyone can participate only tour players will earn points.
Awarded points example for division with;

1st          51 points      41 points          31 points        21 points        11 points
2nd        40 points       30 points          20 points       10 points
3rd         30 points       20 points          10 points
4th         20 points       10 points
5th         10 points


If there are 6 participants in a division 6th Place earns 10 points and 1st Place will earn 61, etc...

 

Open Division:
Anyone can play in the Open Division but an average Open player has several years experience, throws 325-400 feet accurately, makes 6-8/10 putts from 25-30 feet, and has a variety of shots (rollers, forehands, etc) to draw from. Ratings Guideline: 970+
Masters Division:
available to players who will be 40 years of age or older during the current year.

Advanced Division:
the top amateur division, under 40 years of age. Tournament experienced players who have played disc golf for several years, and developed consistency. Throw 300-450 feet, make 5-7/10 putts from 25-30 feet, have different shots in their arsenal. Ratings Guideline:>= 935
Novice Division:
For beginning and casual players who are learning basic Frisbee® and disc golf skills. Throw 175-250 feet, make 3-5/10 putts from 20 feet, can throw backhand with some accuracy.
Junior >19:
<=19 during the entire calendar year.
